Dr. Hillary Carroll graduated Washington State University college of veterinary medicine in 2014. Her goal had always been to be a specialty surgeon for horses but in an effort to get more hands on experience in veterinary school she went on a shelter rotation and developed a strong passion for shelter medicine and high volume, high quality surgical practices. She had joked that if she wasn’t going to practice on horses that she would do shelter and high volume work instead - never anticipating that would actually happen. Well it did. And for the last 10 years she’s been practicing almost exclusively on small animals in some capacity including shelter work, high volume, high quality spay/neuter, emergency and critical care, and providing access to more advanced surgical procedures at a more affordable rate. Yanapana Veterinary Services is a long term goal that is finally coming to fruition.
