Preventative Care Services

What are preventative care services?

Preventative care is care that is aimed at prevention of disease. Preventative care includes but is not limited to services like physical exam, vaccines, flea, tick, and heart worm prevention, and deworming.

We are not a full service clinic but every animal and pet we service receives an exam and we do have some vaccine, flea, tick, and heart worm prevention, and deworming options available on our mobile unit.

We are not able to offer other bloodwork on the mobile unit at this time but hope too in the future!

Having baseline complete blood count and serum chemistry is recommended for all pets but especially pets over 7 years of age as they are considered seniors and the risk of underlying disease is higher.

Depending on the case we may require that pre-operative lab work be performed prior to surgery with Yanapana Veterinary Services. We can help you find services to get this done if you are unsure how to get this testing done.

Radiographs

At this time we don’t have the option of radiographs or x-rays being performed on the mobile unit although in the future we plan to.

For some patients and surgeries x-ray may be required before a procedure with Yanapana Veterinary Services. If you already have copies you can email them to us at info@yanapanavet.com. If you need help figuring out how to get radiographs performed for your pet we can help!
